Red Crescent is helping most vulnerable people in Sindh

Pakistan Red Crescent Society Sindh Branch has organized 4th meeting of monsoon flood operation 2011 and 14th meeting of integrated Recovery Programme flood 2010 on Wednesday, January 18 in Karachi.

Meeting attended by Provincial Secretary Kanwar Waseem, field delegates from International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC),International committee of Red Cross (ICRC), Danish Red Cross, German Red Cross, Norway Red Cross, Swiss Red Cross and others.

They updated reports about their relief and recovery programme including Shelter, water and sanitation and relief in flood effected areas in Sindh.

Sindh Red Crescent has assisted 353065 families affected in flood 2010 and 82000 families affected in monsoon flood 2011. Assistance included basic health facilities, shelters, livelihood, clean drinking water, relief items, tents, food parcels and blankets etc. Red Crescent is always serving most vulnerable population affected by any disaster in Sindh.
