Convocation held at Fatima Jinnah Medical College

Fatima Jinnah Medical College, Former Principal Prof. Dr. Akbar Chaudhry has said the provision of standard education with state-of-the-art infrastructure can better build a nation and improve its image worldwide. Fatima Jinnah Medical College recently held its Convocation for graduates of the years  2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Addressing the Convocation of the FJ Medical  College,  Prof Dr Akbar Chaudhry  stated that the allocation of funds for establishing education institutions and uplifting its standard could be termed a `safe future investment` to get the required results in the form of brilliant educationists and doctors.

Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, FJMC Principal Prof Dr Rakshanda Rahman, college faculty, doctors and medical students attended the Convocation held on the college premises.

Prof Akbar Chaudhry said, being one of the premier medical institutions, the FJMC produced a large number of doctors who had been providing services at world renowned institutions. In the past efforts were made to convert the FJMC into a university but unfortunately successive governments took no interest.

On the occasion, Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran and Dr Rakhshanda asked the doctors, particularly the fresh graduates who were awarded degrees in the Convocation, to improve further specialised higher education and focus on the advanced research.
