Health and Nutrition Development Society (HANDS) arrange a media delegation visit to its project ‘School Wash Improvement Project’ aims to show and share the activities done for the school children.
A 10-member media delegation started their journey from Karachi press Club and went to its hands-office situated in Ghulshan-e-Iqbal. On the occasion Lal Din Balal, District Executive Manager, Karachi Urban, HANDS was accompanied with the media personnel.
After reaching on the project, Lal Din Balal gave a brief presentation about HANDS different project and activities and their future plans. He also briefed about the school established at Al Haj Dur Muhammad Baloch Goth Village in which 200 students are studying. He informed that this school is supervised by 11 teachers and are teaching primary and middle class students. HANDS take the responsibility of renovation of school and provision of clean and safe drinking water. He also briefed about the social responsibilities by HANDS in which training of school children regarding hand washing procedure according to WHO standard. The student also demonstrated the different activities being taught by educational staff. The students of the school acknowledge the efforts of hard working of the school teachers.
Later on media person visited Gove Girls Primary Model Community School Hasim Khaskheli Goth in which 150 girls are studying in this school. In this school, HANDS took the responsibility for the renovation of building with colour and water tank for student. This school was established since 1995. Media personnel’s also visited another school PBPS HaKim Jokhio school where Headmaster Muhammad Azam briefed the about the establishment of the school. He informed that this school is situated on 4 acres land and in this school 93 male students and 10 females school are studying in this school. HANDS took the responsibility for the renovation of this school building and provision of safe drinking water. The media personnel also came crossed Water filtration plant established by HANDS at Yousuf goth, North Karachi.
