A meeting was held between Professor Mashoro Alam Shah, Vice Chancellor, Liaquat university of Medical & Health Sciences, LUMHS, Jamshoro and Mr. Raseed Ahmed Memon, General Manager ( South Sindh) , National Highway Authority.
Vice Chancellor, LUMHS Officials proposed a public Awareness Campaign in which sign board and pan flex, banners, containing awareness messages regarding Road Traffic Accidents & its prevention and emergency treatment as well as other common health problems of the community should be fixed on toll plaza and other sites along with highways of Sindh specially Super highway National highway & Indus highways.
Engineer Rasheed Ahmed Memon the GM NHA appreciated the proposal and it was agreed mutually that LUMHS will prepare such massages of public awareness and NHA will develop and fix those signboards and pan flex on various sites along with road side of said highways
Dr. Aneel Atta Ur Rehman the chairperson of Community Medicine Department, LUMHS was declared as focal person for this activity while Dr.Gulzar Usman & Dr. Ilyas Siddiqi were included in LUMHS team Mr. Eng. Javed Arbab & other NHA official were also present at the meeting.
