Schazoo Pharmaceutical Laboratories (SPL) is currently the fastest growing Company. Schazoo has been pursuing its vision “To provide Quality products at affordable prices to help nation to improve its quality of life” since 55 years. The overwhelming emphasis of management on the significance of quality has been instrumental in infusing the highest level of confidence among medical professionals in its products and services. In pursuit of quality, Schazoo has also earned the latest version of ISO 9001-2000 certification for the manufacturing of Quality Products along with prestigious ISO14000 certification for Environmental Management Systems.

  The Company has four groups representing various major therapeutic classes such as Ophthalmology, Neuro-psychiatry, Pulmonology, ENT, Gastroenterology etc. Now the presence in neuro-psychiatry has been further strengthened by introducing various advance molecules.

   Current economic and social stresses are exposing the people to many psychological and neurological disorders. So to explore this opportunity SPL decided to develop a companionship with neuropsychiatric specialists by introducing diverse products in neuropsychiatry. Along with them a latest quinolone, gemifloxacin, has also been launched for the treatment of respiratory tract infections.

  The new additions in current product portfolio are; Cercolin (Citicoline), Qutapin (Quetiapine), Naze (Clonazepam), Lamprene (Lamotrigine), Mantex (Memantine) Qflox (Gemifloxacin). To make these products roaring success a grand Training/Launching Event was organized in Lahore on March 1, 2009. The event became a landmark

by the gracious presence of Chairman of the Company, Mian Ahmad Shuja-ur-Rehman, Chief Executive, Mian Asad Shuja-ur-Rehaman, and Ansar Malik, Director Technical.

  The event was inaugurated with a “Professional Selling Skills” training session in the evening. Kamran Saeed, Executive Director Marketing conducted the vital session and all the team members showed exceptional participation. Next morning, the session started with welcome address of Kamran in which he emphasized on the future vision and expansion plans of the Company. He also highlighted the critical importance of corporate goals achievement through dedicated and efficient working.

  Muhmmad Aqeel Ashraf, Group Product Manager-Progressive Team beautifully managed the training session of two days with deep know-ledge of patho-physiology, pharmacology, market and competition. His knowledge delivery style, of making the things much simpler, inter-active and effective, and was immensely appreciated by everyone. He took the maximum advantage of the opportunity by refreshing the knowledge of existing products, like Floxac (Fluoxetine), Eslopram (Escitalopram), Tomax (Topiramate) through concise and crisp training sessions. Nabeel Asad, Assistant Product Manager assisted him overwhelmingly throughout the sessions. 

  In the evening of penultimate day, a grand prize distribution ceremony was arranged to award the exceptional Sales Performers for the period of July to December 2008.

  Usman Ghani, Divisional Manager-Peshawar won the prize of “Champion Divisional Manager” for Progressive Team and Amjad Ali, Divisional Manager-Mingora got the same prize for the combined teams of Progres-sive and Aggressive. Whereas, Attaullah, Medical Infor-mation Officer-Mingora, was declared Champion MIO of Progressive Team for his exceptional sales achieve-ment. In another competition of highest unit wise individual product sales achievement the following were declared winners:

• Neurobedoxine Amps. Champion: Attullah, MIO-Mingora

• Neurobedoxine Plus Tabs. Champion: Attullah, MIO-Mingora

   Mian Asad Shuja-ur-Rehman also graced the occasion of prize distribution ceremony. He highlighted the vision of the Company in perspective of the new manufacturing facility and the kind of investment Company is doing in product portfolio as well as human resources development. He deeply involved in appreciation of the prize winners and thoroughly enjoyed the Winners Celebration by sharing his emotions in their fun activities.   

  To create an environment of competition, on last day of the event “Quiz” and “Role Play” Competitions were held and the team members won the laurels for their respective teams are;

• Quiz Competition 1st Runner-up: Pervaiz Akhtar, MIO-Mianwali

• Role Play Competition 1st Runner-up: Farrukh Ahmad, MIO-Multan

• Role Play Competition 2nd Runner-up: Kamran, MIO-Bannu

  Asad Shuja-ur-Rehman, Chief Executive highlighted his ever-emphasizing com-mitment to infuse a family culture by distributing the prizes. After the prize distribution ceremony everyone rushed towards the new factory visit on Jaranwala Road near Sheikhupura.

  Everyone appreciated the beautiful landscape and excellent infrastructure of the new manufacturing facility spreading at the area of 60 kanals. Immediately after the new factory visits all the team members embarked towards their home towns with highest level of motivation and commitment to make these new products exceptional success.

  On the same day, aggressive team arrived and started their launching activities with “Professional Selling Skills” training session. Once again the session was conducted by Kamran Saeed for highlighting the importance of selling skills in the generation of any product’s prescription.

  Later next day, Ghulam Mohiuddin Chishti, Group Product Manager-Aggressive Team conducted training session on new product, Qflox (Gemifloxacin). His immaculate way of making the things simple to under-stand makes him the immediate success among all the participants. He thoroughly discussed every aspect of respiratory tract system, its functions and related infections with key emphasis on causative pathogens. The advantages of gemifloxacin against other antibiotics in the treatment of pneumonia had been especially highlighted.

  Advantage had been further extracted by refreshing the knowledge of existing products .i.e. Itopride (Gaspride), Esomeprazole (Zespra), Lactulose (Bilagol L), Fluticasone Propionate (Flexosone), Moxifloxacin (Moxicin), Levocitrezine (Citrafast) etc.

  Muhammad Shoaib, Assistant Product Manager contributed significantly every session to make it more productive and participative.

  On the last evening of the event a lively “Prize Distribution” ceremony was held for Aggressive Team and Chairman of the Company. Ahmad Shuja-ur-Rehman graciously accepted the invitation to share the joyous feelings of the team members.   The Chairman over-whelmingly emphasized the family enriched culture and environment of Schazoo where the motivation and well-being of every team members had been given top priority. Through out the session, he remained the centre of attraction due to his highly loving and caring gestures.

  Muhammad Naveed Khan, Divisional Manager-Peshawar, won the distinction of “Champion Divisional Manager” and S.M. Shahid, SMIO-Multan, declared the “Champion MIO” for Aggressive team. The individual products best achievement awards were won by:

  Aggressive team members also exposed to the challenges of Quiz and Role Play Competitions on the morning of last day and the winners were:

• Quiz Competition 2nd Runner: Nisar Ahmad, SMIIO-Peshawar

• Role Play Competition 1st Runner-up: Abid Ali, MIO-Abottabad

• Role Play Competition 2nd Runner-up: M. Shahid, MIO-Okara

  At the end of the training session, Kamran Saeed, Executive Director Marketing, in his concluding address emphasize on the role of knowledge, professionalism and hard work for individual and Company’s success. He highlighted that it is a continuous and ongoing process and to be successful in any particular field, one should be prepared to bear the hardships. He stressed on the very fact that within each of us there are deep wells of resources & infinite strength which need to be channelized and training help us to identify and boost such under-utilized talent.

   Afzal Samad, Sales Manager, represented the highly charged-up parti-cipants’ views and sentiments by giving strong commitment to utilize all the know-ledge & motivation, gained through these training sessions, to make new products roaring success.Sch-4Sch-5Sch-2
