LUMHS, WHO hold award distribution ceremony

The Department of Pediatrics, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) and World Health Organisation (WHO) organized an award distribution ceremony for the undergraduate students on their best performance in the evaluation of Pre Service IMNCI (Integrated Management of Neonatal & Childhood Illnesses) done by WHO-EMRO.

Secretary Health, Government of Sindh, Hashim Raza Zaidi who was the chief guest on the occasion appreciated the students and the teaching faculty of LUMHS on their excellent performance during the evaluation done by WHO-EMRO.

Vice Chancellor Professor Noshad A. Shaikh said that it was an honour for LUMHS for being the first university of the country to be evaluated by the WHO.

LHUMS was also ranked among the top universities in the region. He advised the students to work hard for the better future of the country.

Earlier, the secretary health attended the workshop and free medical camp on “Pain Management” organised by the Department of Anaesthesiology at ICU, LUMHS, Jamshoro.
