Greenstar Social Marketing (GSM), in a historic event signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Government of Sindh under the umbrella of Costed Implementation Plan (CIP) Sindh.
In this ceremony, two MoUs were signed with CIP Sindh, Population Welfare Department (PWD) and Department of Health (DoH) which includes MoU for adopting Greenstar’s POOCHO Helpline (0800 11171) by CIP, PWD and DoH as official FP 2020 Helpline for Sindh and MoU for provision of free FP commodities for Greenstar Social Marketing in Sindh
The ceremony took place at the Sindh Secretariat, Karachi on Friday, 15th March 2019. The ceremony was chaired by the Minister for Health and Population Sindh, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho. Dr. Tablib Lashari (Technial Advisor CIP), Mr. Saeed Awan (Secretary Health) and representative of Secretary PWD, Mr. Faisal Mehr (Director Administration) were also part of this ceremony.
On behalf of Greenstar, Dr. Syed Azizur Rab (CEO Greenstar Social Marketing) signed the MoUs. Mr. Muzzafar Mahmood Qurashi and Ms. Aliya Iqbal, Members Greenstar’s Board of Directors, also graced the occasion with their presence.
The MoUs signing with Public Sector in Sindh is a historic landmark for Greenstar and first of its kind. The remarks made on this occasion by the honorable Minister and Technical Advisor CIP are captured below:
