EfroTech installed a software at Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences. To highlight the salient features of the software Representative of Medical Review got the opportunity to interview Dr. Rahim Bux Bhatti, Director, Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences. Following are the excerpts.
Q. Please tell us something about yourself.
Ans: With the grace of Almighty Allah I am fine and working well for betterment of Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences.
Q. Since how long you have been using solution of EfroTech.
Ans: We have been using the EfroTech Software since one and half year
Q. How did you get involved in this project?
Ans. With the increase in patient flow and addition of facilities at the hospital, the need was felt to automate processes and to establish controls across the hospital. Alhamdulillah after much deliberation we were able to finalize EfroTech as the solution provider for this hospital software automation project.
Q. What kind of challenges and issues you were facing prior for its execution.
Ans. We were facing following issues / problems prior to execution of EfroTech software:
- Pay Roll Staff Salary employees’ code/ scale wise (in accounts).
- G.P Fund, Benevolent Fund and other deductions set up (in accounts).
- Tax deduction criteria (in accounts).
- Output reports in Accounts and VMS. To be tackled with assistance of the concerned person in accounts field as soon as possible.
- Medicine and price identification in HMS.
- Indoor Patients Report in HMS.
- Separate report of Local Purchase of Medicine and show the detail of issued LP medicine with complete bio data of patient.
Q. What process did you go through to determine your needs?
Ans. We have an effective planning and organizing criteria in services sector according to the requirements of sophisticated organizations. We determine our needs with the help of previous experience and team work. Furthermore, due to their experience with hospitals, laboratories and healthcare providers EfroTech were able to guide us in certain areas.
Q. What concerns did you have and how EfroTech overcame.
Ans. We had major problems of
- OPD record
- Indoor Outdoor Patient record
- User fees collection
IV. Dead stock and current position regarding medicine
- Disease wise report of patients.
VI. Control of Vehicle movement and fuel record
VII.Record Keeping of Employees attendance (In-Out).
VIII.Lab reports.
IX. Modern software record keeping techniques.
EfroTech has managed to tackle all of the tasks with good technical expertise.
Q. Who else was involved in this decision?
Ans. Director Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences, Mr. Mohammad Aman and other team members of Institute were involved in this decision.
Q. How was the delivery of Solution, did you get it deployed on given time.
Ans. Delivery of solution was most satisfactory and we got it deployed on given time.
Q. What are the expectations/requirements for this product/service?
Ans. We expect that software applications should be fully utilized (100%), and results should be accurate.
Q. How it is working since it is deployed.
Ans. It is working quite well but we want to make 100% of it. This requires trained manpower, which though is not available but we have been developing local manpower with the help of EfroTech to run this solution and we have been having good success with this and over 20 system users have been trained proficiently on this system.
Q. What was the most important priority to you for this project?
Ans. Our most important priorities were;
- Accurate Accounting records and output.
- Updated inventory record.
- Employees attendance record.
- Hospital Management records.
- Vehicle Management record etc.
Q. What other issues were important to you.
Ans. Conceptual and Technical skills of users (training of staff) and 100% utilization of software output for future planning.
Q. How do you measure that, it is an effective solution of any such organization.
Ans. It could be effective for such organizations, when its applications and output will be 100% utilized according to the modern techniques.
Q. What are the best things about the solution?
Ans. Tackling the problems at preliminary stages. Close co-ordination of EfroTech persons with the software users.
Q. What do you think about the Maintenance/Customer Support Services of EfroTech.
Ans. We think that EfroTech persons are good in terms of maintenance and customer support services but not best.
Q. How do you rate EfroTech among other IT services/solution provider.
Ans. We think that EfroTech is among the top rated IT services / solution providers in our country particularly in Sindh.
Q. What do you see as the next action steps.
Ans. Our next action is to survive in fully automated environment in the institute having maximum connectivity with top players in social services sector of the world (particularly in Pakistan).

Ans. We would recommend that EfroTech should have access to the top level players in field of software services in the world for better results.
