Integrating Nutrition in Clinical practice

College of Family Medicine Pakistan (CFMP) conducted a 2 day
nutritional educational program for Family Physicians titled “Integrating Nutrition in Clinical practice” recently at PMA House Karachi. The program was attended by eminent GPs and Family Physicians from Karachi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah and Larkana.

The course faculty included: Prof. Iqbal A. Memon, Specialist
Children’s Diseases, gastroenterology & Nutrition, Mrs. Nazra Huda an eminent clinical nutritionist and Member American Dietetic Association, Dr. Aziz Khan Tank Consultant Family Physician & Secretary General CFMP, and Dr. Shehla Naseem, Consultant Family Physician & Joint Secretary CFMP, who was also the course director.
 
The 2 day course was well organized, very interactive & interesting for the audience who participated wholeheartedly in this learning activity, including pre and post tests, lectures and case study workshops. The course mostly covered basics of Nutrition, deficiency diseases and their diagnosis. The program ran very successful judging from the number and interest level of audience. The speakers were also highly knowledgeable in their field and kept the audience captivated throughout the 2 days of learning activity.
Abbott Nutrition Pakistan provided an educational grant for this
course. Certificates were distributed to participants by the course
faculty. Earlier, Ayub Siddiqui, Country Head Abbott Nutrition sharing his views on the occasion congratulated the College and the participants for their commitment and devotion to the quest of knowledge and promised his continued support for such endeavors in future.
