The newly built 154th school project of Green Crescent Trust (GCT) housed in a purpose-built building and meant for children of underprivileged Mehran Town area of the city was inaugurated at a ceremony held recently in Karachi.
A. Sattar Akhai, Group Chairman Martin Dow Group performed the inauguration ceremony. Zahid Saeed CEO, Green Crescent Trust along with Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi, VC, NED University, Prof. Dr. Akhtar Baloch, VC, Benazir Shaheed University, Lyari, Mr. Tariq Malik, Chairman KATI and other notables were also present on the occasion.
The Hilal Public School, Martin Dow Campus, is part of the Martin Dow Group’s continuous commitment to community for the development of education for the children of Korangi in Karachi.
Speaking at the event Martin Dow Group Chairman, Jawed Akhai, said that this new purpose built school is the 6th project of Green Crescent Trust (GCT) in Mehran Town and the 154th in total of Green Crescent Trust’s network based in remote and rural areas of Karachi and interior Sindh. The purpose-built state of the art building is equipped with all mandatory science laboratories and smart classes. These six schools cater to the families of labourers and workers who are associated with the industries of Korangi Industrial area.
