National Institute of Diabetes & Endocrinology, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Director, Prof. Dr. Zaman Shaikh has shown great concern over rising cases of diabetes in Pakistan and asked for raising awareness amongst people to check onslaught of the disease.
He was briefing the media in connection with a 3-day International Conference on Diabetes planned to be held from 10 to 12, December 2011. The Conference is being organized by Dow University of Health Sciences in collaboration with and Diabetic Association of Pakistan (DAP). This conference is aimed at improving the state of awareness and the healthcare delivery system in the country. Experts from different coun-tries will deliver lectures on this grand occasion.
