CEO DRAP services lauded

A prestigious and warm farewell in honor of retiring CEO DRAP, Dr. Aslam was organized in the Ministry of NHSRC. It was attended by Senior members of NHSRC.

Sharing her views on the occasion, Mrs. Saira Afzal Tarar appreciated Dr. Aslam’s selfless and extremely remarkable  services with high level of  competency, integrity and leadership, as the first CEO of DRAP. She remarked, establishing a new organization is always very tough job to set basis. He set very high standards of personal working and developed regulatory reforms of international levels, bringing Pakistan regulatory framework at par with International best practices, besides completing all long due pending cases.

Secretary NHSRC also appreciated the great contributions, integrity and high  professional expertise of Dr. Aslam and expressed that DRAP and Ministry will continue interaction and will take advantage of the expertise of Dr. M Aslam.

Dr. Aslam thanked Federal Minister for her great support, guidance and cooperation for the establishment and upgradation of DRAP and its regulatory reforms and making it an efficient and highly professional result oriented public focused organization, working hard for larger patient benefit through ensuring access to quality assured, efficacious, safe and affordable medicine for the patient. On the other hand facilitating pharma industry with a fair and efficient service, to maintain and sustain supply of quality medicines. DRAP also worked hard for facilitating for pharma exports through various new initiatives and incentives, in the larger national interest.

He expressed his gratitude and thanks to the present Secretary NHSRC&C, Kamran Baloch for his continuous guidance and  support for achieving these targets. He also thanked previous Secretary Ayub Sheikh for his motivation, guidance and supports throughout. He sincerely thanked additional and joint secretaries and the Ministry team for their continuous support and cooperation. He greatly appreciated the DRAP teams,  it’s various directors of divisions, for their untiring hard work, efficient internal working and cooperation through out the tenure, due to which all these achievements were made. The leadership, administration and professional contributions of the entire DRAP teams made it possible to achieve the level of fastest developing drug regulatory authority in the region, as appreciated by the international organization for this newly established drug regulatory authority of Pakistan. He thanked all who supported for achieving DRAP goals and contributed towards it’s responsibilities for national health targets. He expressed DRAP will soon achieve the international recognitions and accreditations, which are in final stages with  continuing efforts to complete these last  phases, as set in this regard. He thanked International organizations like WHO, USP-PQM and USAID for their support in capacity building and automation. At the end Federal Minister awarded sovinear to Dr. Aslam as a token of appreciation.
