Bone and Joint Health Camp by AKUH

With commitment to provide quality healthcare to all, Orthopaedic Doctors and Surgeons from Musculoskeletal and Sports Medicine Service Line of the Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, travelled to Quetta for three days to serve patients. Clinics were arranged by AKUH’s Quetta Refferal Office in Quetta for patients who need assistance and treatment for problem related to bones, joints, knees, nerves, sports injury or tumour.

The Musculoskeletal and Sports Medicine Service Line at the Aga Khan University Hospital comprises of a highly qualified team of specialized orthopaedic, rheumatology and sport medicine doctors, surgeons and nurses. The services that are offered by our team of experts include but are not limited to treatment for broken bones, fractures, sport injuries, knee replacement, hip replacement, rheumatic diseases and muscular skeletal diseases.

To serve the community better, our orthopaedic experts held three-day specialised clinics in Quetta at the Serena Hotel.

The team of experts included some of Pakistan’s best orthopaedic doctors and surgeons including Dr. Pervaiz Hashmi, Dr. Masood Umer, Dr. Naveed Baloch, Dr. Rizwan Haroon Rashid and Dr. Saliha Ishaq – Specialist Rheumatologist. The team also presented to and engaged with the IG and top tier of Baluchistan Police, Chamber of Commerce and Interim Chief Minister. They briefed them on AKUH and its Orthopaedic team and their sub-specialties and services, exchanged views and laid the foundation for initiating programs and setting resources to serve people better in the coming months and years.
