AWARENESS SEMINAR ON NATIONAL INTEREST AT DOW UNIVERSITY

Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) organized an Interactive Session for their student and faculty members with Pakistan Ranger (Sindh). In this Session Maj. General Mohammad Saeed, DG Rangers Pakistan (Sindh) gave an exclusive talk on ‘Matters of National Interests’. The Session was held at Muin Auditorium of Dow Medical College.

Maj. Gen. Mohammad Saeed in his address to the faculty and students of DUHS informed that after the independence, Pakistan had progressed tremendously and achieved several milestones despite having very few resources. Besides having bad law and order situation, the country has produced talented scientists, doctors, engineers, players, authors and other talented individuals including Arfa Karim, Mala Yousuf Zai and others. Although Pakistan image is not good in the world but Pakistan has no match of its youth and their knowledge among 59 muslim countries.

Talking about role of universities and educational institutions, he said that educational institutions are power houses that can bring positive change in the society and in the country. At the same time students have to play their role in spreading consciousness among their parents, relatives and friends about peaceful culture in the society. Pakistan Rangers Sindh has restored peace in the city, but the educational institutions, citizens, civil society and communities have to fulfill their responsibilities also for durable peace in the city by showing sense of belonging to it. He suggested the students to launch a social movement for betterment and creation of peaceful environment in Karachi, that will be a great favor to the city and it will also make a difference in the country.

He also shared the light on the culture of european countries where the students are taught to work fairly and honest from the beginning.

Col. Qaiser of Pakistan Ranger (Sind) in his welcome address briefed the students about the achievements of Pakistan Rangers in the province and country.

Prof. Saeed Qureshy, Vice Chancellor DUHS in his remarks thanked Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) for sparing time for the educational institute of the city. He also appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) in bring law and order situation back to the city.

The session ended up with question and answers session and shield distribution.
