AsianContinental (Pvt) Ltd. (formerly Continental Chemical Company (Pvt) Ltd., and Asian Pharmaceuticals), one of the reputable pharmaceutical companies in Pakistan, recently arranged a get-together of representatives of leading national & multinational pharmaceutical companies.
The basic purpose was to update the delegates on the recently completed state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing factory. Earlier, the factory was also praised by the officials of Ministry of Health on their visit for grant of Manufacturing License and appreciated that cGMP guidelines have been implemented in letter and spirit.
Mr. Vick Chung, a representative of their foreign principals M/s. Yung Shin Pharmaceuticals, Taiwan also attended the gathering and shared the long history of co-operation between the two companies.
He appreciated the effort to build a modern manufacturing facility in Pakistan and hoped that it would go a long way in providing exceptional quality to the people of Pakistan and abroad. He further said that the co-operation between the two companies will be further enhanced.
Addressing the delegates, Chairman, Syed Ilyas Rizvi, hoped that this effort will be beneficial for the entire humanity and will be a source of inspiration for many companies to follow.
He shared his long cherished vision to build a sophisticated plant capable of creating a big difference in the way medicines are manufactured in Pakistan.
He also emphasized his continued commitment to ensure the highest quality medicines and stressed his resolve to employ latest cGMP practices as prescribed by various US & European regulatory bodies.
Later, the guests were provided a guided tour of the factory by Head of Plant operations & Head of Quality Operations. All delegates appreciated various areas of the plant and lauded the efforts of the company in investing in systems to ensure superiority in quality manufacturing.
Total built-up area of factory is 85,000 Sq. ft and is suitably divided into oral solids, oral liquids, sterile products and packaging. The factory has provision to manufacture sterile injectable & ophthalmic products, tablets, capsules, liquid syrup/suspension, dry powder for suspension & ointments/creams. A very capacious air-conditioned warehouse will also help in complying with the latest quality standards.
The company has a long standing in Pakistan pharmaceutical market and has a good name among the medical profession backed by some of the high quality products like VOREN (diclofenac sodium), CARDIOLITE (atenolol), MACROBAC (azithromycin), LORIN-NSA (loratadine), CONTIMYCIN (doxycycline), INFLAMATIX (flurbiprofen), BESTRIX (ceftriaxone), VASCLEAR (atorvastatin) and ZEPRES (enelapril maleate).
By the effort carried out in establishing this modern plant, it is envisaged that this will be a shining star in the pharmaceutical market of Pakistan and will be a reliable partner in providing real quality products.
