Annual Sales Conference of Barrett Hodgson Pakistan

Barrett Hodgson Pakistan, a leading name in the Pharmaceutical industry recently held its Annual Sales Conference in two mega cities of Pakistan.To appreciate and reward the successful closing of the year 2009-10 and to start the challenging year of 2010-11, the conference was well participated by 660 Sales and Marketing team members along with the Management team from the Head Office. Barrett Hodgson has registered a tremendous growth over last year with sales turnover of PKR 2.28 billion.

Dr. M. S. Habib, Group Chairman of the Company inaugurated the session with this words of wisdom and guidance. He reiterated his vision and highlighted the importance of people behind every success and commended all-out efforts of his team led by Dr. Iram Afaq. He appreciated the successful closing of the year 2009-10 and congratulated the entire team. He also threw light on the current economic situation and emphasized to work even harder to achieve personal and professional goals thus adding value to the company and also becoming a contributing factor in Pakistan’s economy. He further emphasized on the appropriate resources allocation to achieve any target and proper utilization of these resources to achieve success.

Dr. Iram Afaq, Group Deputy Chairman and CEO in her address appreciated the sales team on the achievement of the target for the year 2009-10. She highlighted the importance of dynamism to adapt in every changing world with passion and belief to achieve success individually and as a team. She emphasized on the fact that success is a journey and we should continue to work hard on our strategies. She shared the company’s success indicators with the audience and also highlighted the areas where efforts are required.

Dr. Iram Afaq also updated the audience on the charity work of The Salim Habib Education Foundation, which has materialized in the form of Barrett Hodgson International – A School of the Slim Habib Education Foundation, built on six acre land in Karachi. The Karachi campus is followed by another School in Toba Tek Singh on 4 acre land. She informed that this is in accordance with Dr. Habib’s commitment to build educational institutions all over Pakistan and one of the forthcoming project in the State-of-the-art University of Modern Sciences in Karachi.

Dr. Hasan Tharani, Managing Director and Shakeel Ahmed, Sales Director also spoke on the occasion. Dr. Hasan Tharani took the audience through the current market situation and emphasized on the need of controlling sales dynamics, including exploration of sales potential of individuals areas with focus on well directed professional efforts to achieve personal, professional and company’s objectives. He also shared the plans of launching new products in the current year. Shakeel Ahmed reviewed the sales achievements and discussed key strategies to achieve the set goals for the year 2010-11.

Barrett Hodgson continued with its traditions of rewarding the successful performers from Sales, Marketing and other departments by awarding them with medals, prizes and cash incentives. Furthermore to acknowledge the achievements of best performers of the year 2009-10 a special foreign trip was also announced.
